The family a coupled with three teenage daughters wanted Studio Guilherme Torres to create a contemporary residence where each family member had plenty of privacy even as the large pool area and wooden deck encouraged interaction and played host to fun-filled and relaxing weekends.
It is the ingenious convex curve of the roof along with the clerestory windows that instantly grab your attention as you enter the new rear extension that opens up towards the garden and the extended wooden deck.
While green roof and the spacious rear year allow the homeowners to enjoy quality gardening time the inherent minimalism of the interior presents a polished contemporary look. Combining nature with modernity the design aims to bring together the best of both worlds; with a hint of sustainability!
Was reimagined and revamped by Millimeter Interior Design as they went about creating an entirely new floor plan that relied on a neutral color scheme smart arrangement of spaces and resourceful design solutions. The sparkling new interior exudes an air of minimalism and sophistication with white being the predominant color of choice.
It is the kitchen dining area and living space that sit on the main level and flow into the garden and alfresco dining area. A staircase leads to the private lower level with bedrooms home office and a media room that feel equally enchanting and far more inviting. Even though much of the focus remains on the wooden courtyard pool area and the shaded walkways life on the inside is equally enjoyable with modern minimal style holding sway. Exposed concrete surfaces brick walls painted in white and stone countertops in black create textural contrast without moving away from the neutral color scheme. Ergonomics precede flowery aesthetics here with low-maintenance finishes creating clever public and private spaces.
