The beautiful Finnish villa is much more than just the view on offer with its unique design combining a touch of coastal charm with classic villa design and modern ergonomics. A wooden terrace gable roof and a section of the home that acts as the green roof create a fusion of the modern and the traditional even as the open interior is filled with ample natural light. Part of the home is etched into the bedrock on the site and it is this rock that acts as an inimitable wall in certain parts of the residence.

It is the lower level that holds the stylish entry open living area and a small kitchen along with other utility rooms. The top floor contains the master bedroom a spacious walk-in closet two kids’ bedrooms and a nifty sitting area. A gorgeous and minimal floating staircase connects the lower level with the upper floor.

Instead of flying several hundred miles during each holiday season or frantically trying to beat traffic and congestion a staycation makes things a lot simpler far more economic and also helps in bringing families together. And if you have a yard deck and pool like the in Mexico then the holiday at home seems magical as well! Designed by Augusto Quijano Arquitectos the refined contemporary residence was crafted for a couple whose kids no longer lived at home.

The beautiful family home with coastal touches was revamped by altering its floor plan bringing the living areas to the lower level so that they are connected with the garden outside and by ushering in a modern minimal style that also incorporates sublime coastal charm. The fusion of these diverse elements becomes even more remarkable when one takes into account the large deep soil green roof that gives the home a eco-friendly sheen!

The great hall becomes the heart of the house with a neutral color scheme using gray and white creating a polished and inviting ambiance. Art work adds pops of color to each space with widen partitions and cabinets ushering in textural contrast.

Was reimagined and revamped by Millimeter Interior Design as they went about creating an entirely new floor plan that relied on a neutral color scheme smart arrangement of spaces and resourceful design solutions. The sparkling new interior exudes an air of minimalism and sophistication with white being the predominant color of choice.

Overlooking the bright lights of Oakland and the in the distance sits proudly on one of the highest points of the Eastbay mountain range. Designed by Terry & Terry Architecture the smart residence makes most of the spectacular views on offer while combining an open living ambiance with innovative design solutions.
