Set in a picturesque landscape with plenty of rustic charm in Finland is a fabulous modern villa that seems to bring together different styles and even more contrasting worlds! Designed by Mer Arkkitehdit this seaside ecsape offers much more than a view of the waves with different vistas presenting a trio of completely different sceneries.
Warm oak flooring of the new kitchen sits next to the brick floor outside and delineates it visually with the color palette being kept strictly neutral. Despite the lack of bold color and bright metallic there is plenty that draws your attention at this revamped English home.
Wooden screens brise soleil and smart planning ensure that this elegant vacation home finds that perfect balance between openness and complete privacy. On the inside a neutral color scheme is disturbed by pops of red even as exposed granite and stone granule plaster give the escape a touch of rustic charm.
On the inside it is cement blocks that set the ambiance with some painted in bright red and others left exposed. A gorgeous and striking kitchen island in red and an equally dramatic staircase in bright yellow bring even more color indoors.
It is the rear extension though that steals the show with its bright and beautiful demeanor that acts as a bridge between classic and contemporary styles. Frameless glazing oak and brick shape the new addition that now contains the kitchen and dining space.
